So, your fav cycling studio just closed. Now what? ☹ Below is a list of frequently asked questions. If you have a question that we were not able to answer here, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com
Q: Are you refunding unused class packages?
A: If you would like a refund, you must request a refund no later than June 30th, 2020 (details below). It is important to me that I offer some refunds to members who have not been able to use some or all of their class packages. However, I can only do so with guidelines (they are as follows):
- Your purchase must have been made between 1.1.2020 – 3.31.2020
- No intro offers can be refunded (i.e. 2 for $15 offers for new members)
- If you used part of your class packages (e.g. 5 of 10 classes), then you can receive a partial refund for what you were unable to use (e.g. you would receive $75 of the $150 price)
- If you meet the above criteria and would like a partial or full (if applicable) refund on your purchase, you must contact firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 30th, 2020. PLEASE NOTE that refunds CANNOT be processed after June 30th, 2020 as we will no longer have access to payment processing software.
Q: How are you doing, Amy? Where are you going? How can I keep in touch with you?
A: I am ok! I hope that my lengthier (more personal) letter on the site (which you can read here) is helpful for any of you who might be wondering more about how I’m doing. I have a strong support network who have been holding me up and will continue to do so. 😊 I will be around and have a fun project in the works (that totally doesn’t involve a brick and mortar gym, so please know that!). You can follow me on Instagram @dr_latawiec . I might take a break from Facebook for the summer, but you can still find me on Messenger (Amy Ann Latawiec) – drop a line any time!
Q: What are you doing with the bikes and other stuff in the studio? Can I buy anything?
A: We are selling most of the assets (some things have already sold). As of June 1st, I will have the most up-to-date information about whether there will be any bikes left for sale. If there is something from the studio that you think you’d like to buy, just email Amy at email@example.com with any questions about studio assets (or even memorabilia!). I am looking into dismantling the wood wall and letting members take a piece as a keepsake (especially those of you who have your name immortalized on it!) Stay tuned for more on that.
Q: Why did you close Rebel Cycle?
A: Wooo that’s THE question, isn’t it? You can read about the pragmatic stuff here and you can read about the personal stuff here. I hope both of these responses provide the clarity and closure you deserve.
Q: Can I still ride with #RebelGoesRogue on Zoom?
A: You can thank Nicole Porter for creating and organizing #RebelGoesRogue! I want you all to give her the shouts and credit she deserves. I have grown to love riding via Zoom actually. I mean, it doesn’t replace being in a physical space with people – no matter what I will always love that and I look forward to the day I can return to physical gyms/studios and even lead classes somewhere again some day. UNTIL THEN, however, I will certainly still ride remotely with you all. I might even take some time to figure out how to get some expert sound worked out on Zoom rides. 😊
Q: Do you know what’s going to take your place in the Fieldhouse?
A: No, I don’t. I would follow the DCFC and the Detroit City Fieldhouse – hopefully they will share their plans and/or a new tenant to occupy the space (it’s a beautiful room, isn’t it? I will forever be proud of that).
